We are an Ekklesia apostolic hub in the Washington, D.C. metro area, carrying a deep vision for God’s people to gather in prayer, national repentance, and the uncompromised Word of God. We believe that revival, restoration, and reformation flow from a people who seek Jesus wholeheartedly—gathering in humility, repentance, and unified intercession to pursue Him with a heart fully surrendered. As a ministry, we exist to help you reconnect with Father God through prayer, repentance, the Word, and a remnant community of Holy Spirit–filled believers who will stand with you, contend with you, and believe with you for the fullness of God’s purpose in your life and in our nation.
Why we do what we do
We do what we do because the world is groaning. It is struggling, hungry, and bleeding—crying out for a move of God—and at the center of this crisis is a deep absence of repentance. Hearts have grown fearful, hesitant, and divided, unwilling to fully turn toward the Lord. Yet without repentance, there can be no revival; without surrender, there can be no restoration; without returning to Jesus, there can be no reformation. Healing—whether personal, family, communal, or national—requires a people who will humble themselves, seek deliverance, stand in prayer, and walk shoulder‑to‑shoulder with others as they pursue Jesus with an undivided heart. This is why we exist. Remnant Gathering Ministries stands as a prophetic voice and a Holy Spirit‑filled community, calling God’s people back to the Father through repentance, intercession, and the uncompromised Word of God. We are here to stand with you, contend with you, and believe with you until the healing power of Jesus transforms lives, families, and the destiny of our nation.
How we do it
We do what we do by creating spaces where the Holy Spirit can move freely and where God’s people can gather without fear, without pretense, and without compromise. Through Holy Spirit–led meetings, fellowships, prayer services, and charitable drives, we connect you with other hungry believers, with a team of ministers who will stand beside you, and—above all—with Jesus Himself. In these gatherings, the remnant is strengthened, faith is ignited, and hearts are restored. We believe that revival, restoration, and reformation are birthed when God’s people come together in unity, humility, and expectation. Every meeting, every prayer service, every act of compassion is designed to help you encounter the presence of God, experience deliverance, walk in repentance, and step boldly into the life Jesus has called you to live. This is how we do what we do: by building environments where heaven touches earth and where the people of God are awakened to their identity, authority, and purpose.
Our Founder
Melissa Helmick
Melissa is the founder of Remnant Gathering Ministries, an Ekklesia apostolic hub in the Washington DC metro area. We are a movement dedicated to cultivating spiritual renewal, biblical literacy, and Holy Spirit–empowered discipleship within the body of Christ. As a retreat leader, traveling speaker, Bible study teacher, and educational consultant, she is committed to equipping believers with both practical understanding and spiritual insight so they can walk confidently in their God‑given identity and purpose.
Originally from Irwin, Pennsylvania and now residing on a small farm in Fauquier County, Virginia, Melissa brings a distinctive combination of pastoral care, academic discipline, and prophetic sensitivity to every ministry setting. Her work is marked by a strong emphasis on Scripture, intentional spiritual formation, and the development of environments where individuals can encounter the presence of God in transformative ways.
Melissa’s educational background reflects her commitment to both academic excellence and biblical foundation. She studied at Logos Bible Institute, strengthening her theological grounding and ministry preparation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Educational Leadership, equipping her with the organizational, leadership, and instructional expertise that shape her ministry and educational work.
In addition to her work in live ministry settings, Melissa leads several ongoing digital teaching initiatives through Remnant Gathering Ministries’ social platforms. These include Wednesday in the Word, a weekly teaching series focused on biblical depth and practical application; Youth in the Word, designed to equip young believers with foundational truth and spiritual confidence; and Women in the Word, a program devoted to strengthening and empowering women through Scripture‑centered discipleship. These programs extend the reach of Remnant Gathering Ministries, providing accessible, consistent, and Spirit‑led teaching to audiences across diverse ages and backgrounds.
In addition to her ministry leadership, Melissa has served as an educator in both Christian and public schools, designing creative, faith‑integrated curriculum that encourages students to explore both the natural world and the truths of Scripture. Her background in education informs her structured approach to teaching, retreat development, and resource creation.
Through Remnant Gathering Ministries, Melissa leads retreats, workshops, and gatherings focused on spiritual identity, revival, and the activation of spiritual gifts. Her mission is to equip the remnant—believers who desire a deeper, uncompromising walk with Christ—to live with conviction, maturity, and Spirit‑empowered authority.
Melissa is actively developing written resources, devotionals, and a forthcoming book designed to support Pentecostal and Charismatic families, youth leaders, and women seeking to grow in biblical understanding and spiritual discernment.
